There is good news from Brazil's Amazon rainforest. New satellite data shows that deforestation alerts have fallen to their lowest level in 13 years. In the 12 months to July, alerts covered 2,874 square kilometers, down by more than a third from the previous year. Brazil's president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, has worked hard to stop illegal forest cutting. His government also protects Indigenous lands, which helps fight illegal mining. Brazil wants zero deforestation by 2030, and many people believe it is possible.

Another good news story comes from sharks. Scientists are testing if sharks can help predict hurricanes. Researchers from the University of Delaware put sensors (传感器) on sharks to measure ocean temperature and depth. This data from parts of the Atlantic is difficult to get. The ocean's heat can affect how strong a hurricane becomes. Sharks can travel far and regularly come to the surface, so their sensors can send data to satellites. The idea is still being tested, but scientists hope it will help forecasters (预报员).

In the UK, a very special turtle went home. Rhossi, a Kemp's ridley sea turtle, was found on a Welsh beach in December 2023. He was very weak and weighed less than 1 kilogram. Workers at Anglesey Sea Zoo took care of him until he was healthy. Then he was flown 5,000 miles to Texas, US. If all goes well, he will be released into the Gulf of Mexico. Kemp's ridleys are the world's rarest sea turtles, so this is a big success.

These stories show that people can work together to protect nature. From forests to oceans, small actions can make a big difference.
