A very special piece of history has come back to Britain for the first time in 900 years. It is called the Bayeux Tapestry. This is not a painting, but a long piece of cloth with pictures on it. It is 68 meters long and shows 58 important events from the year 1066. That was when an army from France invaded England. One famous picture shows the death of England's King Harold II. He was hit in the eye by an arrow during a battle.

The tapestry was made in England as a gift for the French. For 900 years, it has been kept in the town of Bayeux in France. Now, it has traveled to the British Museum in London. Moving it was not easy. The tapestry was carefully protected by many police officers. It was moved at night, inside a special box that controls temperature and humidity (湿度). The director of the British Museum said this was a huge and difficult job.

Why is this tapestry so important? A spokesperson said, "Every British child knows the date 1066 — the Battle of Hastings." This battle changed British history. The UK's culture secretary called it a very important time in the country's story. The tapestry helps us see what life and war were like almost a thousand years ago. It is like a very old comic book that tells a true story.

People are very excited to see it. Many will visit the museum to look at the detailed pictures of soldiers, horses, and ships. The tapestry shows both the winners and the losers of the battle. It reminds us that history is full of real people and real stories.
